knit with my handspun

For Brian out of handspun, since he may have that new job that requires him to work outside, and he has no cute warm knit hats.

Technically, I’ve now knit with my handspun. :D I’m not counting it as an accomplishment of the goal here, though, because it was just a piece of I-cord, and when I added the goal to my list, I was thinking of an actual project, not a piece of another project. ;) So while technically I have now done it, it only half counts. I want to spin some handspun specifically for knitting something nice, and then knit something nice.

Still, I’m emotionally counting this as having knit with my handspun, and as being well on the way to my goal. It’s just not precisely what I set out to do with the goal. ;) But if I’ve actually managed to do this much, I’m likely to accomplish the actual goal, so I’m encouraged. Woo!

I’ve spun up some alpaca two-ply from a sample someone sent me with some other fiber I bought from her, and I’m going to use it to knit an I-cord for a necklace I’m sending someone. It’s just been washed and now it’s drying, and hopefully tomorrow or the day after I can get to knitting with it. Yay! :D
