I think I've got the hang of this 9 months ago

I don’t think the calcium was giving me headaches—that was just a coincidence. I just pop those gummy bear calciums in my mouth every day now.

Gummi bears 9 months ago

I took 3 of the gummi bear vitamin D/calcium pills that my son used to like. I’ll keep on taking them even though they’re gross. They’re not as gross as swallowing a giant calcium pill.

milkshakes for some, not for all 10 months ago

I can make milkshakes on a regular basis for my son, who could stand to gain a few pounds, but that’s not a good option for me anymore. So I’m going to make an effort to find quick, easy calcium sources. I like diary but too much fat is bad. Calcium pills leave a metallic taste in my mouth and I think they contribute to headaches for me (not sure though).

scared 13 months ago

I’m scared I may have it already. My wrists and ankles sprain? really eaisly and then it hurts for like week after. I use to take deprovera the birth control injection and a black box was issued for it while I was taking it saying there was a high risk of getting osteoporosis and you should only take it when you have to. My doc put me on Caltrate for a while. I stopped taking it, I don’t drink milk (lactose intolerant) I’m vegetarian so sometimes its hard but I know I need to make a greater effort for my own health.

Calcium without dairy 2 years ago

I seriously need more calcium in my diet. Im dairy free, except for chocolate which I havent been able to part with. I used to love dairy, but now alas. I have one carton of almond milk a week that contains a whopping 80% of one days calcium and have been eating sesame seeds in a lot of stuff cause I read those are a good source. Hoping to start supplements soon.

i need to do this.
i’m a 20-something who already knows shes going to have osteoporosis in the future if she doesnt start thinking about it.
problem 1: i cant stand the taste of milk.
problem 2: im white, small boned, short, and have a family history- all risk factors.

so far ive:
added a calc/vitamin d supplement.
filled my fridge with yogurt
started drinking calcium fortified soy milk

My bones are so brittle because I’ve never gotten enough calcium…and I don’t want to get osteoporosis when I’m 20. So I’ve vowed to drink more milk and get more calcium.
