He has done a lot more living vicariously through me than I have done through him, but I think it’s inevitable when you get close to someone that you get interested in what’s going on in their life.
But then, I’m pretty sure we’re not talking about the same Joel, given that yours sounds like he is Jewish, in high school, extroverted, a bit of a dark horse/wild child/class clown, intelligent, but never quite got along with his teachers, and into music (am I reading too much into this?), and mine is Catholic, dominican living in new york, introverted, a tiny bit shy, likes to please people, and doesn’t particularly like music.
