make shoes

To be honest, my attempts were poor.

Just today I started looking around. Here’s a few things I’ve found:

• The Crispin Colloquy—a forum for bootmakers, very active, lots of great tips.
• Healthy Handmade Shoes—seems you can buy kits from this place.
• Elizabeth’s Shoe Advice—specific matters with regard to stitching and buying lasts.

I’m going to gather supplies and work on a pair of casual shoes (a green pair) in October.

I want to make shoes from scratch. Ones that will fit and look good.
