    - The location of 7 new heart pieces on Zelda. Hooray for internet walkthroughs!

    - The outfield consisting of Harry Hooper, Tris Speaker, and Duffy Lewis is considered one of, if not the, greatest defensive outfields of all time. Lewis played in left, the toughest position in Fenway. They nicknamed the ten foot high mound that used to be in front of the Green Monster “Duffy’s Cliff”

    - There was something else….but unfortunately I waited a day before posting this so I already forgot it. Ah well.

    - Stonehenge was likely the center of a religious cult dedicated to the sun. The British are in the proccess of unearthing a small village neaer the ancient monument and are using it for clues as to what the site was used for. Stonehenge itself was built sometime between 2600-2400 BC and the houses that were found were dated as being built sometime between 2600-2500

    - They’re planning on building condos on the old Rocky Point site in Warwick. I used to love that place and I still can’t believe it’s closed even though it’s been that way for over 10 years now. Probably over 15.

    - The PFL has been established in Canada. What’s the PFL? The Pillow Fighting League. Apparently it’s almost like pro-wrestling only with scantily clad women swinging pillows. Whoever came up with that idea is a genius.

    - Some random things about some old Sox pitchres, such as… Oil Can Boyd wasn’t very good. He’s well known and I always assumed he had a decent career with the Sox, but out of all the time he spent in Boston he only put together 3 full mediocre years. Jeff Reardon broke the all-time saves record while with the team. I actually re-learned that one. I remember that year now. I bought his baseball card because of that. He didn’t hold the record very long though, Lee Smith grabbed it shortly after that. Dick Radatz and Bob Stanley were probably the two best relievers that the Sox ever had.

    - People are stupid. Well, I already knew that. But running around naked in the school lunch room is a new way of proving that.

    - The oldest operating tavern in the US is right here in Rhode Island. The White Horse Tavern in Newport has been around since 1673 and it’s still in operation

    - I have a bit of a caffeine addiction. Every day at work I’ll get a coffee, usually around 10:30-11:00. I typically have a bit of a slow time at that point that comes after a pretty hectic period. So it’s good to grab a coffee and a muffin. I’m on vacation this week so I’m not exactly driving by a Dunkin Donuts like I do on most days. And sure enough, today around 11:30 I started getting a pretty bad headache. It got better after lunch, but I felt great a couple hours after lunch when I went to get a coffee.

    - Whole Foods actually has some pretty good prepared foods. Sure, you have to wade through 5 million soy products and dodge about 50 million hippies to get to the prepared foods section, but once you get there the stuff isn’t bad. The mac and cheese was good and most of their chicken dishes looked good enough to try. There’s also plenty of variety with both main dishes and side dishes.

    - A few facts about beer from playing around on wikipedia…In Sweden 60% of all beer is sold in cans, in Denmark none is. The strongest beer believed to be made was Hair of the Dog’s, a 29% abv barley wine made in 1994. Beer is sometimes called liquid bread for the nutrients it possesses such as magnesium, selenium, potassium, phosphorus, biotin, and B vitamins although filtering the beer does cause it to lose some nutrional value. Pale lagers, also known as pilsners (Bud, Miller, Coors), are a kind of lager. Lagers are brewed in cool conditions using a slow acting yeast and then stored for a period in cool conditions

    - Philip Hughes is the real deal. Being in the Yankees farm system I assumed that he couldn’t be that talented or else they would’ve dealt him by now. But I just bought two fantasy baseball mags and they both have him ranked in the top 7 best prospect in baseball.

    - How to make it past the point I was stuck on in Zelda. Also learned the location of a few heart pieces. It seems like games these days are made to require a walkthrough. Some of the stuff is just so tough and obscure that you’d go nuts trying to figure it out yourself. Like I was really going to go to the edge of the cliff near that particular tree and bend my neck just right so that I could see the heart piece on the ledge 50 feet below.

    - There is a free trial for the internet browser on the Wii. I can now check my mail (or 43things) from the comfort of my living room on my Wii.

    Yesterday I learned…

    - Stop and Shop’s union contract expires on Valentine’s Day and the two sides are miles apart. Everyone is preparing for a strike.

    - IE 7 has a tabs feature. Since the tabs are the only reason why I’m dealing with Firefox, I can now download the new IE and give the boot to Firefox.

    - Sunset is my new favorite place to eat and drink in Boston. With 112 beers on the menu and some great food you can’t really go wrong. They have plenty of pool tables upstairs and even a couple of fooseball tables.

    Today I learned…

    - Some of the back roads in the western part of North Kingstown
    - You can take information from a commercial invoice and use it to fill in an airbill, but you can’t take information from an airbill to fill in a commercial invoice
    - Doctors are narrowing down which part of the brain causes addiction. Some people who suffered head trauma were cured of their addiction to cigarettes because the brain damage made them “forgot” that they were addicted
