Napa’s a good start if you’ve never visited wine country, but it’s a bit commercialized. If you really want to explore the countryside, visit Sonoma and the Alexander Valley. You’ll find some wonderfully quaint wineries. The people are so passionate about the wine they make and welcome guests as if they’ve known them forever. A couple of my favorite wineries were Harvest Moon, and Sunce.
