    Worth doing!

I can walk around on my hands (with good form) for well over a minute. I can stay on my hands in one position for 15-20 seconds, and continue walking around pretty much indefinitely- normally my muscles get tired before I lose balance. I’ve added two new goals that are more specific to take the place of this one.

    Worth doing!

Last week I was showing a few of the performers at work my progress with handstands, and as luck would have it, I hit my best handstand ever in front of them! Fifteen seconds! I’m not consistently able to do it, but I did do it once. Right now I’m able to consistently hold them for 5-8 seconds, although it’s really difficult. I just need lots of practice from here on out!

I’m getting more consistent in my ability to hold handstands and recover from losing my balance… still a ways to go but I’ve gone as long as ten seconds (probably shorter, it feels like a really long time when you’re doing it) holding it in one place. I can go for a while if I’m walking around on my hands.

I’ve taken my handstand practice slightly away from the wall, and have been practicing balancing for longer. I’ve noticed a great increase in strength in my shoulders, throughout my entire range of motion, and that feels great- I can recover from a much greater amount of swaying than I used to be able to. I can hold a handstand for 4-6 seconds more or less consistently right now.
