21. Recycle Batteries — 1 day ago
I recycled some dead AAAs at Best Buy the other day. They have a little kiosk set up for recycling batteries, cell phones, and something else. I think it’s pretty neat!

I just stopped credit card statements from coming to my mailbox. So I reduced gas spent and paper used! Yay me.
I have become and AVID user of Swapadvd.com and paperbackswap.com. Trading books and dvds is awesome, cheap, and reduces waste. They also have a site for CDs.
Used stuff in general is good stuff. :D
Yes, Blu-Ray movies have better sound and a clearer picture, but that is NOT the only plus! They are also recyclable (they’re half made of paper and can easily be shredded) and they can hold more than five times the information a regular disc can- so if you’re like me and like to buy the two-disc sets, get the Blu-Ray! One disc!
(Blu-rays are also more durable. Just because they’re recyclable, doesn’t mean they’re crap.)
I’m a book-buying fiend. I love to own books… but that’s something I have to rid myself of. Most of the books I read, I will only read once. So today I went and got a library card… Now I can get my books for free AND I can help reduce production and waste. :D I used to use the library all the time as a kid. I’m putting myself back into that habit.
After an 8 month hiatus, I went back to school… and I moved too… and now my school is basically in my backyard! So I walk. I’m saving so much money and gas by walking. I haven’t gotten gas here since I moved… I’ve only gotten gas when I’ve gone to my parents house because it’s about 50 miles away… which makes twice in the past month.
If it gets cold, don’t rn the heating up! Instead, put a jacket on or a jumper. :-)
My family just don’t get it. They’re always bugging me to recycle, when they don’t! Every single light is on when I come home and it really annoys me! Everyone should learn about the affects of Global Warming. :-)
Yes, it’s a crime against nature. Lol not really, but I need to lower the amount of toilet paper I use and only use as much as I need. :-P
