stop being such a know-it-all

... yup, I can be oozing it at times… especially about music… I am such a music snob.

Really, it’s just that I can’t understand why people would want to listen to the plastic, mass produced crap that fills the mainstream airwaves when there are so many much more interesting things to listen to. It seems to me that people like music they can relate to, so I end up constantly trying not to look down on those who are able to somehow see a part of themselves reflected in such crappy mediocrity.

But I suppose this is extremely judgemental, and a decidedly superior attitude, which of course, makes it unfair & snotty. Who the hell am I to judge that someone is feeble-minded based upon his or her taste in music?? It’s just too subjective a thing…

I actually have my own exceptions to the anti-mainstream rule, if I’m being perfectly honest (not that I will admit to anything specific here…ha!).

Yeah, I can really be a dick. Gotta stop it, even if I really do know a thing or two… maybe now and then I can keep that little fact to myself… oh, who am I kidding? I know everything, and I am compelled to share my vast, nay, limitless reserve of knowledge with the world! whoohahahaha!

Seriously, I really am of the opinion that the more you learn, the less you know, so I’m going to try to keep my trap shut and listen more than I speak… maybe I’ll find some of my “knowledge” needs revision…
