Downgrading your firmware isn’t as scary as it seems; unless you’re a total idiot, it’s almost impossible to brick your PSP in the process! With custom firmware, you can have all the features of the latest firmware, along with all the freedom of the downgraded firmware, meaning there’s not reason not to downgrade (unless you currently have FW 3.51 or higher; in that case, you’ll have to wait for a downgrader to come out).

well, I have had my PSP since the summertime and i always upgrade the week before any info is released on the current firmware i have on how to downgrade. well no more as theres a new downgrader in the works and I am going to do this or kill my psp trying. hopefully if this works i can make my psp do anything from using it as a universal remote to downloading many usefull programs for it that it naturally cant handle.
