The party was very lovely, and it was nice to see so many charming people again (and to meet new ones.) Now, I have motivation for someday learning to dance.

What a night!

Next time, someone must be a dear and remind me that champagne straight up is really the safest way to go. I believe that the Absolut Abellini (oh, all right—Abellinis) went to my head.

It was lovely to meet so many delightful new people and to let my hair down with some familiar faces. You were all so inventive and fun!

Admittedly, I retired late and didn’t have much time to sleep last night, but I must tell you: I had the strangest dream, darlings!

It involved Heathcliff, a Canadian in a white tux jacket, and (now don’t laugh, I know it’s absurd) a marmot in a sailor suit! [covers mouth with the tips of her fingers and looks to the sky]

I can’t give you the details, darlings, that would be indescreet.

But I did wake up with the oddest little toothmarks on my ankle and the strap of one of my pumps was entirely nibbled through! (I’m not implying that you have rodents in the house, WW…whatever it was most certainly came in with the caterers. But you might want to have that looked into before there’s any damage to your impeccable decor.)

I didn’t think you could top yourself, WW, but…the fireworks, the champagne fountain, the sheer bravery it took to tell us to keep on partying as long as it took.

I’ll help you tidy up, dear, if someone will help me find my skirt.
