    I'm way out of shape. 9 months ago

    Last year, I jogged 4-5 times a week for a few months. I felt great…then I got lazy.

    i went for a 45 min bike ride today… if i keep doing this, i’ll at least get my stamina for cardio back up… i can do this :-) it’s easy. even if i don’t end up jogging, i’ll at least be biking, and before i began university, i went biking each day for at least an hour… i never had any weight issues then.

    since i quit smoking (another of my things i want to do), i’ve been jogging again. very quickly my endurance is coming back. seems there was a fit cardiovascular system hiding under a pack a day. now i can jog around prospect park (3.36 miles with some slopes up and down here and there). still the slowest jogger there ever was, but at least i can slowly jog for 45 minutes or more and not have wheeze.



    broken toe has me on the bench 2 years ago

    only a few more weeks and it should be healed. In the meantime, I got out to the Botanic Garden for a mini-hike the other day! It was good, but my toe ached afterward.

    It will heal, right? It won’t ache forever? I don’t really care that it’s somewhat crooked now, I just want to be able to jog again. sigh



    My Problem... 2 years ago

    I love to jog, my problem lies in the fact that I hate doing it in public. I am one of those paranoid people that become convinced that everyone is watching me. In high school, I used to wake up at 5am, go for a run around the block, then climb back into bed until it was time to go to school. It makes it hard for me to jog where I’m living right now because it’s such a busy area. Hopefully I’ll get a place in the town that my new job is located. It’s a quiet little town with very few locals, and hopefully not a lot of people to watch me jogging.

    Just revising it. I’m definitely going to start exercising again, but I need to build up to it. Right now it is honestly too hot out to jog. I’ve been using the exercise bike inside in the A/C, so after I build up my leg muscles again, I can start some smaller routes.



    I want to 2 years ago

    I want to start jogging again…I used to do it every day in the morning. Then I just got in a rut…and quit. I remember being so energized thru out the day when I jogged. So I would like to get back into that again. I know I can’t just start jogging, so I am going to start off by going for walk’s and work up to jogging. :) Yay for me!



    Day 1 (FINALLY) 2 years ago

    I got on the treadmill tonight for the first time in about three to three and a half weeks. You could probably say my last workout didn’t count, though, as I was exercising only sporadically during that time. The truth is I haven’t exercised on a strict schedule since maybe April. I was on the treadmill for forty minutes on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but I later found myself assigning my workout time slots to other things. Then, I just got lazy. Well, the lack of activity started to show physically and made me feel unfit so I wanted to start exercising again. Of course, it took a lot of time and talk to actually do something about it, but I did it nonetheless. I have broken the habit of doing nothing.

    Today is Day 1.
