to the roster of organics in my shopping cart. That and only buying organic meats is enough to keep me busy with this goal for quite a while.
I firmly believe this should be a process and not a completely 180o change in diet. Adding things bit by bit is less of an assault to my grocery budget, and makes me really appreciate each new item that is introduced.
I’m finding that working toward this goal has made me more aware of the food I’m eating. I’m much less likely to eat processed crap, and it has in turn made my diet healthier. I have a looong way to go, but I’m proud of the progress I’ve made so far.

It feels good to be working on this goal…it is slow but steady progress. So far I have converted to organic milk, bread and pasta, certain fruits (berries mostly) and vegetables, and I just started buying poultry.
I tried buying organic garbanzo beans and making hummus – but that was so disgusting to me that I won’t ever put that in my mouth again. No more beans. I never liked beans before so I don’t know why I thought being on a health kick would change my mind!
So far adding a few organic items here and there hasn’t changed my grocery bill significantly. I’m sure it’s higher, but adding a little bit at a time makes the increase not quite as painful.

I am supposed to do all the grocery shopping for the family I nanny so they are going to go organic too! It feels sneaky but whatever because it’s good for you.

So I actually opened those organic goodies I’ve been storing up for today and they are mighty good! I have to go to the health food store to buy some more but I can already tell it will be so worth it.

Thyself25 Life is definitely worth meditating about.
I think there’s nothing better for the body than giving it pure food. I know it’s hard on the budget but I think it’s harder on the body to get all those toxins left by those pesticide ridden foods out of our systems. I feel it’s time to feel clean on the inside!

It’s so great to finally start my job and make real money. Also, living in a city like Seattle definitely helps with this goal. I’m buying probably about 75% organic now and cutting out most meats (except free range organic chicken and non-overfished seafood), and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. I secretly love being a food snob. :)

Ian's♥Girl appreciating everything that I have...everyday.
I compared two labels of ketchup. One of which was Organic & the other was not. Seeing the amount of CRAP I was allowing my kids to put in their bodies with just ketchup alone, I’ve decided that I needed to go organic. For my family’s sake.
I’m buying as much organic groceries as possible. I’m not so much worried about the other stuff…Yet. I have started buying all natural soaps & shampoos…but truthfully right now the foods is my #1 concern. Ill fix the other stuff too.
My 6 year old actually insists, that his milk be organic now. It’s what his teach at school gives him…so thats what mom gives him too. 1 day soon my whole family will be totally organic.
