I don’t want to wake up middle aged in a dead end job with a high school diploma and no way out. I need to figure out what I want to do, and become educated towards it.
How to continue my education
How I did it: I knew it would be hard and I knew that it would be challenging, but it had to be done. I have a newborn and there is a lot of guilt in spending time away from him, but I know its for his benefit. So i had to put up or shut up.
Lessons & tips: Stay focused on the goal ahead. Its easy to get side tracked and stray away. Keep on top of due dates and keep school first. The quicker you get your homework done, the faster you can spend time with your family.
Resources: Daily planner! That thing is my life! I would forget everything I ever had to do if I lost that!

I already found a University where I want to get my degree in Metaphysical Psychology. I can study online, no matter where I am. It’s good b/c currently my life isn’t too stable in terms of location. They have a program for all three degrees – Bachelor’s, Master’s & Doctor’s. I already have a Bachelor’s in Psychology, but I want to do metaphysical psych & that’s the only accredited college, although I can’t teach in regular colleges. I’m not planning either, so it doesn’t matter. I’m quite excited. I can take my own pace & read the material that I’m actually very interested in!
I always wanted to get a bachelors degree, masters, whatever…but I wanted to continue my education and prove myself…I know I am smart, and learning things that I can share with others, makes me happy.

...I will get on the light-rail and go down-town to Metro. I have an advisor apointment with a professor in the Education Department. Hopefully, at the end of that brief (a half an hour!) meeting, I will have a better idea of what I’m doing. I think that persuing a post-bac in English Education is a good way to go. I would rather teach little kids, but I’m not sure that I’m going to find an outlet for course work. A second BA doesn’t interest me, nor does true grad work. Anyhow, I’m not taking the GRE’s, EVER, so I’m not in a place to persue the latter. What I wonder is if I will be employable in Europe. A new goal (maybe a few) will be poping up today.
I am almost thirty years old and I have not finished my Bachelors Degree. I have a decent job but I want more options. My first step will be to narrow down a list of three possible programs. Then I will call my student loan company and look into having my loan deferred. I want to finish this goal in 730 days.
i currently have some college. i would like to continue my education to stay on top and keep up with technology. i would also like to learn a second lanquage.
Whenever I look at the community college course book I circle classes that sound interesting to take. If I had all the time in the world I would go to all sorts of random classes just for the sake of knowledge. Since I don’t have all the time in the world I’ll have to take this goal one step at a time. I’m currently working on learning Spanish (see “Learn Spanish” goal). I will be doing an intensive Spanish course next year as part of my continuing education!
I just love it.No words can really describe how i feel when i take a certain course.I think basically you gain more knowledge on diffrent matters.I quest for knowledge.
Since i’ve dropped out of school. I always told myself that i’m going back, But never did. I became lazy never took that step. Now i look at myself and realize that i have nothing. I don’t have that car that i want, my own buisness, my own home. Now I sit back and ask my self “what are you waiting for? Get off your lazy butt and get your GED.” So here i am getting my GED. So i can further my education. So ican drive that car i always wanted, have my own buisness, and home.
