pimp my car
How to get a tune up on my car.
How I did it: As a single mother, I am always busy with my family, helping my boys with their school extra activities, supporting my girl on her education, taking care of my mother, working hard to fulfill my family needs and making room to socialize with my friends. In this busy life of mine, I neglected my car by not giving importance to its mechanical life; shame on me!
I recall that my car started to leak antifreeze more than a year ago but I solved this problem by keeping some gallons of antifreeze in my trunk. Lately, I was spending too much money on this green or red liquid and my car suddenly started to lose power and shake whenever I had to make a stop at any traffic light, the heat was not working and driving to my work at 5 am with freezing temperatures outside was not funny at all.
While I was reading some of the goals in here, "Get a tune up on my car" popped up and I decided to take care of my noble transportation means by adding this goal to my list. I talked to a good friend of mine and he made all the arrangements in order to help me solve this issue.
Lessons & tips: * Check periodically fluid levels
* Keep your car clean
* Make rotation tires every 3000 miles

My car needs it so bad. Shame on me! :|
I finally got it done, but cost me a lot of $$$. I learned a lot about cars though…timing belt, platinum spark plugs, air filters, etc., etc. But why do I always feel like I’m being ripped off?
My usually beautiful and shiny Solara was covered with a lot of bird doo-doos this morning. So I gave her a car wash. But of course, this has nothing to do with a tune up. So tomorrow, I’m going to find a Toyota dealer close to where I live.
I do need to get a tune up. No, not me, my car, my beloved Solara. It’s been a great car, because I’ve been taking a very good care of her. Why do we call our cars in feminine term, I wonder.
