I recently separated from my husband. The break up wasn’t messy, but I moved out because of it. I had limited space in which to take stuff (read a van) so a fare bit of paring down was in order. I had 10 large black garbage sacks full of clothes that was left behind. I was proud of myself and I really did get rid of a lot. Sadly, even after all that I have just under 100 shirts….

One of the main sources of clutter in my life are clothes. I’m in the process of moving and have decided this is a perfect opportunity to streamline my wardrobe.
I realize this is probably contingent on what you do. I’m a graduate student so I don’t need to dress up every day. I tend to wear a dress shirt and slacks or jeans to the office. I also need dress clothes for the occasional conference or presentation.

I have gotten almost 10 new shirts in the past month. I have thrown 0 away. I need to work on this.
I have two closets bursting with old, ill-fitting, and unwanted clothing. There is stuff I like to wear in there some where too. But I need to sit down and pull out all the junk for Salvation Army.
