For the past month I have been going to weekly baby yoga, family yoga and beginners yoga classes. They all include relaxation/shavasana which is fantastic.
This week I’ve been doing 10 mins or so in the evening – particularly headstands/sarvangasana. I’d like to make time to do some sun salutations/surya namaskar in the morning and include a short daily meditation.
The more I do the more I want to do so I’m feeling good about this goal. Considering doing a 30 in 30 again too!

I finally pulled my finger out this week and started doing my yoga DVD again. Even with the children and the dog all trying to join in. It’s not very peaceful but it was a good enough start to motivate me again.
So, I picked up the phone and arranged to go to a class. Despite practicing yoga at home for many months I’d never been to a proper class and today was my FIRST TIME!!!
I went to a beginners class and felt well equipped to keep up. I need to regain my flexibility but I know I will get there. I liked the teacher and the studio so I think I will keep going, weekly initially. They also do a family yoga class and a baby class which might be nice to go to.
The class was great – the meditation even better!! For the first time, well, seemingly ever, I felt peaceful and calm and de-stressed – bloody fantastic!

...I’m not actively trying to meet this goal at the moment but I know I do want to.
My main problem at the moment is routine. I’m just out of the routine of daily yoga. It should be easier as I;m home on maternity leave but the problem is that if the baby needs me I have to stop and that kind of inturrupts the flow of yoga and meditation!
I need to find a quiet time when hubby’s home to mind the baby. First thing in the morning would be ideal but at the moment I’m just still too tired!
Maybe get up early (bonus of a quiet house)and practice yoga then go back to bed for a bit!!

...I did this morning and night continually. sadly, now I am in a lapse and haven’t done any meditation or yoga for a month. I havr to get back to this I really do. Wine is a slight obstacle.
