She wants a dry diaper, and she wants to have her poop on the potty. Even if I have to sit there for twenty minutes beside her… “Poopy Mom” – yes, Sophie. “Nothing!” stands up – ‘kay Sophie, lets put a diaper on. sits down. “No Mummy. Poopy.” ...sigh. Perhaps I should count this as quality time?

One pee a day. It’s start. (But I wish she wouldn’t freak out when we flush the pee down the toilet!!)
The last of the potty training! I brought the potty out of storage for Sophie at least a month ago, put it in the bathroom. She’d sit on it, read a book, take a square of toilet paper, wipe, and be all done. She did this all with her clothes on. I don’t think it occurred to her that stuff was supposed to come out of her and into the potty. She eventually reached the stage where she’s whip her bottoms off, sit on the potty, and go pee in the other room somewhere.
Recently I started moving the potty from room to room. This morning, all of us in the livingroom, she came over to me, “PEE!” and started taking off her bottoms. She went over to the potty, sat down and did the deed. She was a very happy girl – her brother and sisters cheering her on! The last of the potty training has begun!
It wasn’t the week I would have chosen. I was recovering from strep throat, had done our taxes, and was bone weary. But Boo was clearly ready, and I didn’t want to miss the window of opportunity, so on March 1 I spent the day training her. And it worked! Boo has been out of diapers for 10 days now, and she’s doing great. I’m so proud of her!
Boo is 22 months old, and she’s verging on being ready for potty training. I want to watch closely, be aware when the time is right, and help Boo to learn as smoothly as her older sister did.
but I think he’s definitely ready. He asks to go and sit on his potty. We just need to get the timing .
