How to give my bedroom a makeover
How I did it: I actually used google sketchup to draw out my room and existing furniture, then tried various arrangements until i found the one i liked best. I then went to ikea, got some new cabinets and storage space, and then spent a few days cleaning and re-organizing my space!

well basically here’s what i want:
i’m going to clean my room get rid of stuff then pack it up
i’m going to paint each wall a different color and get new carpet
i’m going to put caligraphy quotes on the walls
ill put corkboard or the like on the ceiling and attach my 478 team pictures plus other pictures i have which will change as i get more
im going to frame a quote and a picture of me for each year of my life and put them around the room in sucession
then in the center wall of my room my varsity letter/current crew picture is going to be framed
plus framed picture (as opposed to collage on the ceiling) of my close friends/family and me
in case your wondering yes i have alot of wall space in my room but anyway yea thats the begining of my plan
byebedlam is back!
I’ve been slowly building up my bedroom to look better after I’ve joined an LJ community where people post pictures of their bedrooms. I’ve become addicted!
I worked a lot on it (clearing all the mess, making everything more organized) during the first month of my school vacation. Now my room is so much neater (and I’ve became a little OCDish which is good- I used to be too messy).
It’s hard to work with a small room.. but I like the neatness of it now :)
Procrastination is what is killing me, it’s been 7 months now since the last time I have thought about this goal, I will think about it carefully this week en-sha-allah
First what i have to do.. is clean my room from top to bottom, cause then my dad said he would help me do it. I want to paint it a cool teal color (not dark though), and i will have purple-y and lime green accents…. it will be awesome
My Dad went on a trip for a week – so my friends and I re-did my room (painted and all) like 6 seventeen year olds with paint wasn’t such a good idea, but it got done and looked amazing!
1. Mount new shelf
2. Make corkboard to cover the ugly stain
3. Get frames, get pictures into frames, get picture-frames onto the walls
4. New mirror
5. Pedestal for A3 papers, materials
6. Organize papers onto shelves
7. Sort out jewellery onto bamboo sheet from Daiso
That’s the big stuff! Maybe it’ll get done these hols >.>
there are more important things i need to do right now this seems a bit trivial.
well i was tired of looking at my room, i didnt have much money so i went to my local thrift store and found some great wall border, that matched my curtains and comforter. I got 4 rolls(5yrds each) for $1.50. It was pre-pasted. I washed my walls and curtains, put up the boarder, moved my bed and dressers around, took some pictures from other rooms in my house, put down some rugs i havent used in a while. and there it was, a great new room !!.
