Going to be earlier 1 month ago

I’ve been naturally going to bed when I’m sleepy, which is usually between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. lately. I read for a few minutes, and then lights out! I’m walking up at 4:55 a.m. (my usual time) feeling pretty good – not perfectly rested, but ready for the day. Is that the secret to getting enough sleep? Plus naps, of course…. I think I’m going to put this in the Done That category. I’m doing much better. Plus now when I wake up, I am refusing to allow myself to think, to worry, and to focus on the memories of the most recent dream, which tends to put me asleep. My husband also suggested thinking of a movie, beginning at the start and playing it back through my mind. This has put me to sleep every time! Anyway, I’m done with this I think. Good luck to everyone else!

Lots o' nappin' goin' on 6 months ago

I’ve been napping a lot during the past few months. If I’m at home and my mind and body inform me that it’s time to sleep, I am sleeping. I feel so much better that I know it’s the correct action to take.

ahha yea. i think i’d be doing EVERYONE a favour by doing this. on weeknights im planning to get in bed by 9:30pm and wake up at 6am. that’s 8 & a half hours of sleep and way less crankier mornings (:

wow. i think i almost fixed it. 9 months ago

during exam week, i’d sleep at 6 PM and wake up at 2 AM to cram for exams. afterward, i pulled an all nighter on the friday after exams because there wasn’t a reason to sleep at 6 PM anymore.

and i think it fixed my sleep schedule for a while…

Slept in the commuter van 11 months ago

on the way to work today. It was a very restful sleep, and helped prepare me for the day.

Took a 1 1/2 hour nap 12 months ago

yesterday in my car at lunch. I rarely drive myself to work (haven’t in over a year), but I felt ill yesterday and thought I would go home early. I didn’t, but I slept on the back seat at lunch and woke up feeling healthier! Napping makes such a difference in my life, but it’s difficult at work. I need to find a way to nap at work so I’ll be more productive and feel better.

Went to bed at 7:30 pm last night 13 months ago

I was so tired. I think since it’s getting dark earlier, it’s feeling later (based on summer hours) than it actually is. Arizona doesn’t do time changes, so I guess I’ll be getting a lot more sleep now. I actually got over 9 hours last night, but didn’t wake up rested. I think I’m behind on sleep so it will take a while. I read that lack of sleep leads to weight gain, so sleep more, lose weight! I can live with that.

Went to bed at 8:00 p.m. 13 months ago

last night. I had to get up at 4:15 a.m. I read my book for about 20 minutes and fell into a very good sleep. Sleep is my friend.

I'm succeeding at this 13 months ago

I’m making a conscious effort to be in bed so I have at least 7 hours sleep, plus I’m sleeping on the commuter van half an hour, each way. I’m taking naps on my day off. This is critical for me to be able to do all the other things I must do right now. I have to be self-disciplined to go to bed on time, but for the most part, I am, even on the weekend!

Napped in the commuter van 14 months ago

on the way to work today, and got in 30 more minutes. It’s a good use of time.
