Dennis ThompsonInjury problems

I’ve been doing really well at this goal, didn’t want to bore people as I already had lots of entries, managed to get 9700 or so extra pressups on top of the 10 a day so over the course of 2008 I did 10,000 or more pressups and recently I have done 50 every day until Wednesday as I injured a finger on Tuesday so couldn’t use my right hand, I still managed 10 one arm pressups for the last 3 days and hopefully will be fit again soon enough. 4 years ago

Dennis ThompsonCatch up

Ok I was doing really really badly at this, so I worked out that overall it had been 3 months where I had done 0 pressups. I then decided to catch up as quickly as possible and did 100 press ups a day for 10 days totalling 1000 press ups less the 100 for the 10 days quota and that made me catch up 900 press ups or 90 days which is about 3 months. I’ve now gone ahead over the last 3 days and I’m now up by 120.

Feels good to be in front again, plus I think the effects are showing. 5 years ago

Dennis ThompsonOk I lost track

I think I’m down to around about 330 now so I’ll carry on from there. 6 years ago

Dennis ThompsonOk it's a dull entry

only I struggle to keep track sometimes so this will be a reminder. Excess as of Monday 26th Feb is 315 and I did 45 pressups this monring, going well. 6 years ago

Dennis ThompsonDay 5 - excess of 125

from doing 35 each and every day so far this week after my morning run. It’s going well. 6 years ago

Dennis ThompsonExcess of 75

after 3 days and I feel good having done it. Sure I might not get much done for the rest of the week and will still be ahead hiwever if I can push myself to make it part of a healthy routine it will be fantastic. 6 years ago

Dennis ThompsonI like this goal

because it means I have to consistently do 70 pressups each week, which isn’t much but it gives me the motivation to succeed and also build up excess press ups, after all if I want to live to 100 I’m going to need to have press ups carried over for when I get too weak to do them. To go 10 years without press ups would mean I’d need 5,200 excess press ups, or I’d need to do 20 a day on average for 10 years and consistency is important in exercising so should benefit me. 6 years ago
