There’s this really really cool gap year thing at my local Bible college!!!
It looks so incredible!
And such a great time to grow closer to God! You read the whole bible, have classes a couple days a week, but mostly it’s about serving (at church and camps and stuff), and also community – helping each other grow and prepare for life being a follower of Jesus!
It looks SO AMAZING!!
I think I may really do this…
How to go to bible college
How I did it: I prayed alot, and did fundraisers to help raise money to pay my tution. I came and visited the school and met some of the girls so I would have roommates when I came. Other than that...on faith alone, I left and moved the two hours from my hometown to Dallas where the school is. I didn't even have a car yet! I just knew that was where I needed to be. I'm still at HSM in the middle of my second semester, and it's continuing to blow my mind everyday..in a good way. It is by far the hardest thing I've ever done - and the best decision I've EVER made. :)
Lessons & tips: -pray
-research the school and make sure you know it's curriculum is what you're needing/seeking
-research the area...apply for jobs and have your housing before you get there
-have dependable roommates that you can get along with
-make sure you schedule time to study and do your homework...you'll never survive if you don't!
-start raising support money long before you plan to go
-believe in yourself. :) you can do it!!!
-DON'T GIVE UP!

I’ve decided that I don’t want to be a youth minister. But I still want to keep leading at church. I just can’t make it my occupation, you know? I’ll keep praying but I think I already have an answer.
I was looking at bible college websites in sydney, and some of them, like Youthworks, have short courses and seminars and other things like that! Because I still want to go to bible college just to grow in Christ and understand the bible more, but I can’t afford to actually do a full degree if I’m not going to make that my occupation! I think that’s a good option :)
Plus, I mean, it’s not like I have to to grow in Christ – that’s so crazy! I may as well just work on my relationship with God, and also get deeper into my church, hang with people there, keep leading, keep having coffee with Christians I look up to!
On one hand, my parents are SO against this, and so are most of my friends.
For a while I didnt even want to THINK about it.
But God keeps putting it back into my mind and my heart!
So I want to do this.
Even if it’s not straight after high school.
One day I WILL go to bible college.
Steve is learning some new juggling tricks
Just visited and applied to Moorlands Bible College down at the south end of England. Bit of a leap from the North-east of Scotland to the South end of England, but I’m actually really at peace about it. Now just to work through the practicalities!
What’s begun in faith, will have to continue so. Lots of hard work ahead, I know!
I went to Biola University in La Mirada, CA. It was fun, but it didn’t cause me to grow in Christ.
I currently attend a Christian college and for me personally it pushed me futher away from Christ then it helped me grow in Him.
I attended and eventually graduated from Florida Bible College in the 1970’s. I met my wife there and we were married and our daughter was born there. It set the course of our entire life and a rich life it has been!!!!
There is something both fulfilling and spectacular about finding that one thing for which you were especially designed and then doing that thing.
I graduated with a two year diploma in Pastoral Studies from World Harvest Bible Collage in Columbus Ohio.
I am currenlty continuing my education from Ames Bible College. I am hoping to finish my bachelors degree in biblical studies.
