Cleared out a small closet that is perfect. Although a prayer closet doesn’t have to be an actual “closet”, that’s how I wanted mine to be. I put some things away, got rid of a few odds and ends, and folded some nice fluffy quilts that I will leave in there. There are a few other things that I’m thinking I would like to do to it, so it’s not complete. However, it is ready to be used and I hope that I find it to be a place where I can grow closer to Him.

they just need to be cleaned out a teeny-tiny bit. :-)
This goal is important to me for several reasons.
I have actually been craving this solitude for a week or so now.
Hopefully I will have this goal accomplished by Saturday.

I was original thinking of devoting a corner to my room to prayer but that would have taken some major rearrangement. Instead I decided to make what I already use official, sitting on the side of the bed by the nightstand. With the exception of the lamp and alarm clock I removed everything else off the top surface to a drawer that does not directly support prayer. On the top I added a Bible, my prayer books, my prayer list and made that the devoted place to keep my rosary when its not in my pocket.

Our new house has 2 walk-in closets. My wife has hers and I have mine. Of course I have a lot less clothes so I have plenty of room for a prayer closet. Now I need to decide what I am going to put in…

Ok, its not really a closet, but its where I can close myself from outside and big open spaces.
I took the idea from Pd and posted up index cards of People and Things i’m praying for and lay my hands on them. (I’m a visual person) Its quite awesome!!!
Oh, my Prayer Closet also doubles as a bathroom, works out nicely!!
...So its not my house and i’m limited to where i can be by myself.

In my closet, I do specific things:
1. Read Oswald Chambers for the day
2. Read Joyce Meyer’s Starting the day right for the day
3. Read 4 different chapters in the Bibel: 1. Proverbs, 2. Gospel, 3. New Testament, 4. Old Testament
4. Go over my four page prayer list that is ever growing.
I LOVE THIS TIME. Couldn’t live without my 6AM!
