Helmets while driving should be a law. just like buckling up.
Yuffie Yeo is trying!
I love driving. It all started when I took my best friend’s car and drove it out one night with my sister – without a license. I got caught by the police, booked, and sent home without the car. He had just bought that car earlier that day, and taught me how to drive it for 15 minutes.
My first taste of true, unbridled freedom. The breeze on my face, the still nights, the lights that buzzed past me in glowing pools of gold. What can I say? Wow
I’m not proud of what I did (I am kinda, actually.;p), we’re still together, he and I, 6 years on. I still remember that beat up old, manual car I had my first drive in.
We go out lots on drives (he drives, hehe), but I don’t take his car for joy rides anymore.
I haven’t had the chance to get my driver’s license due to our frequent moving country to country, but now that we’re back home – where we first met – I want to drive.

My husband taught me to drive when I was 25. Both my kids learned at 15, got licenses at 16, and are able to skillfully drive in situations I wouldn’t have dreamed of (long distances, places unfamiliar to me, lots of traffic, etc.). It just takes lots of practice, experience and a healthy respect for the power of a motor vehicle. And focus!!

It’s such a hassle in England that I thought I’d save myself some time/stress/money by waiting until I got to the states… So, I’m 20 and I have no license…
