I own – at last count – the following leather corsets:
- matte black with patent boning covers, underbust style
- red patent underbust
- full length black Edwardian
- full length dark green and back Victorian
They’re all spring steel boned and custom fit. Delicious :)

New to this, but have desired to do this for the past 20+ years…

fishnets..tutu type things..corsets..everytime i see them in a music video or whatever i think ‘i have to get one of those’ it’s getting to obsession point now. they’re just so sexy and feminine..weirdly enough, i can’t stand red corsets on myself (the most popular colour it seems), they suit some people extremely well but i want something a little more subtle..red isn’t really my colour..so i’m thinking purple maybe..hmm. the ones in ann summers are nice but expensive- £40 and it’s the type you wear in bed only- i ideally want one you can wear out (and maybe indoors later ;))

Love to be laced into a tight corset and feel the squeeze. Wow what a feeling

A proper corset will be made by a corseteire with YOUR SPECIFIC MEASUREMENTS!!
It doesn’t hinder breathing but changes the way it is done.
(Shallow breathing)
You cannot buy a real corset from a “store”.
It IS possible however, to get your corset online for about 150 and up.
I paid about 160 for mine, in brocade print specially made for me and specifically for tight lacing!
(the act of restricting ones waist to achieve a more feminine, hourglass like shape)
Correct usage will create a perfect hourglass silhouette with no damage to your body! (it helps straighten the back and realign the body to a perfect ladylike shape, as well as for men who tight lace) Corseting requires patience and dedication!
It is usually best for you to buy your corset 4-6 inches smaller than your natural waist..and your corset should be comfortable and nicely fitted, flat in the front under the bust and down.
It takes anywhere from one week to two weeks to be able to wear your corset for 6 hours or more a day, Since, in the beginning you only wear it for small amounts so the corset molds to the body..and your body gets used to the feeling of it. I can go on all day about coseting and smart tips for those about to begin. Please contact me for any information you may need.
I am a corset encyclopedia due to the fact that before you start, you should know as much as you can and spend a lot of time researching!!
see photo to understand all the measurements that will be needed to get a corset!!

As intended for my Halloween costume, I actually made my corset. A rough total of the materials would probably be around fifty dollars -that is, if you already had a rivet gun and rivets. If not, add about twenty dollars to your budget. I think boning was the most exensive for me. That was probably near twenty-five dollars.
As I do applaud your desire to wear a corset, I do not recommend anticipation of wearing your first “impeccable” corset you made [Unless you sew proficiently]. I only used one pattern prior to making the corset. I was [and still am not] adept to sewing. I was a bit difficult in myself, it was evident that I wasn’t too great. However, dispite the cost, I do recommend one making one. It is quite fun to see your progress.

I love them but they are REALLY bad for your back. They squish your ribs and weaken your spine. People who wear them too much look gross.

I wore one to my prom, and I still have it and wear it whenever I can find a good reason. I can’t breath, but you feel feminine and mysteriouse with one on. Its great for bringing out your shyness as everyone tends to notice you in one.

I’ve always felt absolutely gorgeous and just a little exotic when wearing a corset. Just a little FYI though. If you go to a concert and you’re going to be in the very front getting crushed against the barricades, forgo the corset. It’s a little awkward being in a crowd of people with just a fishnet shirt on. :0
