Did two recently with a third one in a few weeks. The second one was a lot better than the first and I’m praying that this trend continues.

Have been doing jail ministry recently. It has been great. It may not be considered traditional sermons but I have never really been traditional lol. They have been very receptive. Hope to hear of someone changing their life through Christ soon. I know He changed my life and has offered the same for everyone.
Preach on!
I did this about a year ago. My Dad is a pastor of a non-denominational church. I tell him all the time, “if there is anything you need, feel free to call”. He called me on this one. Not exactly what I expected since I had just come back to Christ and was still struggling with smoking and stuff.
I led worship (harder than preaching) then gave the sermon God gave me. It was not real hard, just revealing. After that day I had a new perspective on what a pastor or evangelist goes through on the stage. As a musician I get to see people smiling, clapping, dancing, etc. As a pastor, you hold to the few “Amens” you may be hearing to let you know that anyone is even listening. Very different world and I have much more respect for it now!
I still want to do it again soon. That is why I added the goal. I would love to do it once every couple months but most churches are not real receptive to a Christian with long hair and a Les Paul on his back. Oh well. God will use us when he chooses.
Good luck on your sermon!
