finished for now. I’ve learned that consciencious little bits of romance are just as wonderful as grand showings, and my guy not only appreciates it but reciprocates in little ways that I never thought about before I started this exercise.
If I start forgetting about weekly date night and those small romantic gestures on a daily basis, I’ll pick it up again, but I hope I won’t have to!

My poor spouse woke feeling sick indeed (really, I don’t think he got over the last bout of whatever he had), so I have to call my boss here in a bit and cancel our plans.
Hopefully, after the new year some time.

So, so excited! And we get to go out next week too. Admittedly, that’ll be a Thursday night and we’re going on a double-date with my boss and his wife, but it’s still adult time out.
GLEE!

We’re playing hookey. I’ve got tomorrow off, and we’re going to splurge on a cup of coffee at the local mall after breakfast, pick up the two gifts for the local giving tree, and try to do a little decorating.

Two of our gamers begged off from gaming, so Ky & I are having an unplanned movie & popcorn night. Fire’s already going, couch is clear, and we’re going to start here in just a few minutes.
Lined up tonight are an episode of Farscape and the first Ranma 1/2 DVD. It’s going to be a great night.

Tomorrow night we’re playing at “power outage” after dinner. The fireplace’s already set up and we’re planning on listening to old-time radio shows (courtesy of a portable cd player) while we play a card game or something with the small till his bedtime.
Of course, this time of year it gets cold, and without electricity, the best way to stay warm is… ;)

But it works as far as small loving gestures go anyway. I noticed last night when I went to get a gaming book out of his car that his tictac container was nearly empty. So I walked over to the corner store and picked up another pack and put it in the other one’s place with a thin ribbon around it.
Haven’t talked to him this morning yet (not when I was coherent anyhow), so I don’t know if he’s found it. I guess I’ll see when he gets home.

But he’s promised something special for tonight, so we’ll see.

Didn’t have time to make the breadbowls, but we sat with chowder and watched cheesy anime and laughed uproariously at the amount of so-bad-its-funny fan service.
For this week, he agreed to watch the child while I ran out to a NaNo meet & greet, which gave me time to run to the store and pick up a pair of black silk roses and leave them in his seat to find on his way to work on Monday. He was delighted. :)
