stop buying clothes

I like clothes. I work damn hard for my money. If I want to spend $50.00 on clothes a month, i should be able to and not fill guilty about it, right?????? Especially since I am no longer gambling and I am paying off my credit cards. Clothes make a great reward also.

I ordered a cardigan last night. In my defense, I have been looking at it for over three months, it’s something I can wear year-round, and it was on clearance. Oh, and actually my husband ordered it for me. Still feeling bad about it, so I decided to start over on this goal.

My goal is to go for two months without buying any clothes…the only exception I will make is if I can find a pair of cute, dressy and comfortable black shoes for work…I really am in need of those versus just wanting them.

I am buying clothes almost every weekend. I don’t need them. I don’t have place. I spend too much money.

I find it hard to resist a sale though and now have far too many clothes in my cupboard.

It is time to STOP!!!

Yes, the words have passed my lips many times. But no more! Unless I actually NEED to buy some clothes (e.g. some new jeans if my others don’t fit any more or have fell to bits) then I will not. Not even if they are buy one get one free in the sale and less than a quarter of the original price. I have stuff in my warderobe still with the tags on for gods sake. I do not need any mre clothes!
