Lauren is not sleepy despite the late hour!
My new glasses should be in tomorrow! I’m excited!

How I did it: I took my broken glasses to the Target optometry department to get an estimate for repair. The optometrist took them in the back room, fixed them and didn't charge a penny. What bugs me is that I believed the girl in another (mall) glasses place and put my glasses in a drawer for 10 months. When I finally thought I could afford to get them fixed, I went to Target and the rest is history. Read how I did it…

How I did it: There really wasn't any great secret. I just had to make an appointment with the optometrist and go! It had been a while since I last went. I love my new glasses and the fact I can see now! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Unfortunately this will probably help you only if you get your glasses from the Veterans Administration. For all the bad press the VA gets I've been treated there for more than just glasses and got terrific treatment. But then again I was in during Vietnam and my disability is a far cry from the bad cases in every war, especially our troops in Iraq in Afganistan. That's enough of that! From glasses to an onset of a PTSD episode.Yuk. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had the same pair of glasses for almost 6 years. There were many reasons why I hadn't gone for new ones. Laziness, lack of funds, lack of insurance. Then, one day, I found out that I was still partially covered by my insurance until the end of April. I decided I'd better act fast, so I scheduled an eye exam, and boom, a week later my new glasses were ready to pick up. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I just made an eye dr appt and kept it this time and picked up my specs in two days. They make me look really great! I just really got feed up with my old glasses and I wanted a new look Read how I did it…

My eye sight has grown worse over the years. Both of my parents have bad eye sight. It was time for glasses. They should be in on Monday. I can’t wait!

I made an appointment with the optometrist next Wednesday. It has been four years since I’ve had my eyes examined.
Now that I get my medical from the VA I get an eye exam and a new pair of glasses every two years. I’ve usually had good luck with them. Having said that, I’m off tomorrow to see what’s wrong with the pair I got only a month ago: almost impossible to read, can’t read product labels, have to take them off to see my computer screen. I’m sure they were ground wrong and will have to be reordered. It’s not like going to whatever doctor you want and choosing from a much larger selection but it doesn’t cost me $250 either.
Since, you know, my current glasses were bought in 2002 and now only have ONE ARM.
I love my contacts, but it’d be nice to not be blind once I take them out.
But I will do this some day! For now, I’m happy that I got contacts, and that does something to change my look, too.
I ordered my new glasses Tuesday! Got the frames I’ve been wanting for a while (Vera Bradley Emily in Java Blue).

No excuse, I have eye insurance, this has to be done! I have been putting it off for the last six months, making an appt
hollymoose78 is about to knock a few goals off the list this week!
I’m getting more excited about these by the day!
I looked up some tips on finding the right frames for my face and hair color, eye color, etc. and took some notes. I may get something really different than my current ones- maybe even bold or just a pair that showcases my personality.
I’d LOVE pink ones (if they looked good on me…) but then figure there’s many things (like red clothing) that wouldn’t look right with them.
I will know the ones when I see them! 3/7 is my appointment, so I’m hoping to have them soon after (not banking on the fact that they’ll have them in stock).
