It was the result of the webinar I watched on the 18th, and the discussion was very enlightening. I learned a lot about myself in terms of how I would do running a business, and I learned about areas that I need to focus on. The discussion was a lot easier than I thought it would be. That was partially because I didn’t have a clear idea of what we would be talking about.

There were some excellent ideas presented. Some of them I had figured out from various things I had read, and some were new to me. The webinar had the desired result – it got me thinking about what business I want to start, and how I will set it up. I need to do some serious brainstorming about which ideas are most viable, and then get to work on them. This could be the life changing breakthrough I have in 2013. 2 months ago

Talking with friends, someone will say something and I think about whether that would be a good business to pursue. At lunch this week a friend mentioned something and I pounced on the idea. He said I could have the idea as long as I bought him lunch when I made my first million.

I did research the idea and for now I will not attempt it. It can sit on the shelf because it may be a good idea to sell to a large company.

And my chiro mentioned something today that we both thought would be a good business idea. I am researching it to see if it might work.

In some ways just exploring business possibilities is a lot of fun. 2 months ago

My company requires that we get “permission” to work outside of our job. I submitted the paperwork and it was approved. I noticed from an earlier post that I wanted this completed by the end of January. I got the paperwork in by then, but the approval took a little longer. Still, I don’t need to start an official company to start consulting. I will keep this on my list for a while until I actually have some paying customers under my belt. 3 months ago

I spoke with my brother about the advantages of forming an LLC. For now, I can just work as a consultant and see how things go. There are some cons to forming an LLC. Nothing that is a show stopper. The biggest challenge is coming up with the business plan and ideas I need to get my company started.

That is the FUN part!! :)

I realize that in order to get where I want to go, I need to work for myself. I can do this and keep my day job for a while. To start, I need to start my own company.

I want to have this goal completed by the end of January, 2013. I think it is mainly paperwork.
