In some ways it was a lot of reading but in other ways it was not as intense as I expected it to be as a little each day adds up over time. While some may protest and say that I read it way too fast to be able to get anything out of it, I beg to differ as while yes I did not pick up much fine detail I did pick up a bigger picture of the whole Biblical narrative and how it all fits together in a way that is hard to see with slower reading. 2 years ago

I finished the Old Testament today and am set to begin reading the New Testament around 6 days ahead of schedule. So now it is most likely a given that I will be successful unless of course I start to majorly slack off but I don’t think that is going to happen. 2 years ago

I’ll admit that I haven’t been perfect the whole time along but the days of reading less than scheduled and the days of reading more than scheduled have evened out. So as of now I am right on schedule and at the current rate will finish in 88 days as the last 2 days are grace days which I haven’t needed to use yet and don’t plan on it. Honestly this reading schedule is a lot more doable and less intense than I expected but it does have me spending more time in the Bible and focusing on a wider scope than I would have been doing otherwise. 3 years ago

I plan on starting this goal on January 1st and am serious about it to have made it a personal challenge goal. Just don’t have too much fun thinking of ideas for the consequence for failure for this one as I don’t plan on losing it. But if you think otherwise post your ideas below ;-p 3 years ago

Would you be interested in starting your year with an intense immersion in God’s Word? If so would you consider joining a team to read through the Bible in 90 days with us. Even if we do not all have the same start date it would be nice for the group to have the mutual support and accountability going to help us through it. If so and you want an invite to join the forming team, say so in a comment below and I’ll send you an invite. 3 years ago

This goal idea came from the Bible in 90 Days challenge which I could not get over the idea since finding the site a few weeks ago. They try to sell you a special 90 day edition of the NIV Bible but make the reading plan available online which I’m glad as you don’t have to go out and buy a new Bible just to read it in 90 days. Not sure when I’m going to start working on this goal but I’ll say when here for accountability purposes once I start. 3 years ago

And I’m still hanging in there. I am in the book of Numbers now and it’s a little tough but I really do look forward to each days reading. 5 years ago

Today I bought a copy of “The Bible in 90 Days”. It is an easy to read version on the Bible (niv) and it has start and end markers for each days reading.
Looking forward to this! :-) 5 years ago
