before they became illegal again. We went to a couple, and actually, they’re the only kinds of weddings my kids have been to so far! ;-)
Even now they play wedding with their girlfriends all the time. It’s so cute.

I don’t recall if this counted as an actual legal wedding with a capital W at the time. And even if it did then, does it still now? Maybe it was just a commitment ceremony.
There was a minister of some kind and some paper-signing.
I’d like to do this again: and to have it be an actual federally-recognized lesbian wedding.
All the heterosexual couples whose legal weddings I have attended this summer (most of whom requested no gifts) will be receiving contributions in their names to LGBT (IQ etc.) civil rights groups, in the hopes that someday these privileges will be available to all.
I missed an opportunity to go to a lesbian wedding last summer. Dammit. The pics are great though—Jane wore a big white dress and her honey dressed butch. The looked lovely.
More accurately, I want to go to someone else’s lesbian wedding.
