I am so proud to have completed this one! (as you can see I just name my title after the first sentence of what i want to say). Ok, so it was a couple of months back outside of flinders street! there was a massive PILLOW FIGHT! thats right! So me and my friends rocked up with pillows, expecting it just to be us and there were so many people, it was crazy!
As demetri martin puts it in one of his gigs that I saw a few years back in regards to pillow fighting:
1. Man vs Women: fun
2. Man vs Man: gay
3. Women vs Women: awesome
4. Man vs pillow: crazy
5. Pillow vs pillow: crazy awesome!!
So anyway, it was hilarious: Raw human competitiveness!

Did this happen at all?
Stephanie, I applaud your initiative in the first place for trying to take this up.
But I know for me, that it is unlikely that I will ever bother with this idea again. I was excited the first time ‘round, but now have become too skeptical of any attempt to even consider it. The critical mass has gone. Our time has passed. For this to happen, I think it will take a new group of people on a completely different forum.
Either that, or a great leader.
I’m a wus,
you have no idea how hard it is to start dancing to music on your own in the middle of Friday night pedestrian traffic on the Flinders st station steps. I just couldn’t do it knowing that I might be alone in my craziness.
to those of you who, like me, needed a push over the edge to take the chance and dance, I’m sorry I couldn’t provide it for you, i know how hard it is to try and push yourself to do something crazy when no one else is, even though you know it could end in something awesome.
I’m sorry to anyone who was left waiting.
Play dead?
dance to iPods/radio’s/whatevers?
ninja fight?
only 3 days away now!!!
HI Everyone,
I know I agreed to take this on, but unfortunatly there has been a death in my family that took me from Australia to Poland back, but I’m here now, and ready to rock.
I’m setting a date here and now, becasue I know we’ve all been waiting WAY too long.
How does everyone feel about Friday the First of June?
6:30PM
Flinders Street?
DONT FORGET TO GET EVERONE YOU KNOW INVOLVED!!!
let’s make it happen this time guys!
Hey guys
I know that we’ve lost a lot of interest over the past few weeks so I really need you guys to tell ALL your friends so we have a huge turnout! The more the merrier
Not many people have emailed me with suggestions, but so far the idea is still Thursday or Friday at flinders, dancing to I pods.
I think the less planning the better, so how about we all turn up to the Flinders St at 7:30, dance to some iPods for exactly three minute, then all scatter in different directions. I’m pretty sure there’s a clock at the steps with the current time which we can time ourselves by, get there from ALL different directions, BE there at 7:30, depart TO different directions at exactly 7:34.
Then if you guys like we can all meet up somewhere and gloat about how awesome it was, but it has to be away from Flinders so no one gets suspicious and realizes what we’re doing.
The exact date is still to be decided upon, suggestions are 13 May, 17 May, 18 May… Whats good fro people?
Email me at
Cheers guys
Hi everyone,
I’m happy to organise this as long as there is still sufficient interest.
I got really excited, then too busy to think about it but now I’m disappointed as to how it has turned out.
So if no one minds me taking the reins I’d love to take over and make this awesome…
Just let me know if you are still interested.
The idea of all the polls Andrew did was great but unfortunately I cant do that so I guess well all have to come up with something and if we don’t all agree- tough.
I think Flinders street steps was agreed upon right? and Thursday night was best for all… all that leaves is WHICH Thursday and WHAT we are doing.
Email me with ideas,

Cheers, Steph
And now the guy who started it all has removed himself from 43 Things. So what’s the point? Well, it was fun thinking about it anyways…........
Dunno if this is gonna eventuate any time soooon. I’m starting to lose my nerve. Maybe the day before or the day of my birthday? May 12th?
I reckon that 730 is a great time for Bourke street, But around 6ish would be better for Flinders st. More commuters around that time to befuddle :)
Plus I really like the safety dance idea mudfairy :)
