I got a “Sportline” model that counts steps, distance and calories, and has a clock on it. Coolio. And it was easy for me, the technotard, to figure out. I bought it AFTER my walk today, so haven’t used it yet, but looking forward to clipping it on tomorrow! :~D

So I went to check these out yesterday….....Sweet Mary Muther uh Gawd….......some of them practically do the walking FOR you. All those bells n’ whistles…....and and and…....buttons, wth?? I don’t need all THAT. So I think I have settled on one of the basic models, that just counts steps/mileage and calories. FUN!!!!!!! I am curious to see how far some of my local walkabout routes actually are. Yesterday I walked for about a total of ninety minutes. Go me!! Before I had said I’d do the aforementioned hike, I’d been walking a lot more lately anyway. My goal is to do no less than, and hopefully more than 1/2 hour to 45 minutes plus, daily, or at least 5 days per week. I can’t afford a gym membership right now. So I am trying to do what I can on my own.

Ok, I’ve already know how to use my pedometer. And, in the process, I found out it can give me my %fat. Now I have to make some step goals to my days. I have no idea how many steps per day would be a good number.

Today, I received my pedometer. Now I have to found out how to use it correctly. I already used it in my first walk some minutes ago. Yeah! I’m back to the daily walks, at least during my college vacations!

Well, I discovered I can’t install a pedometer in my mobile, it would be so practical. But, at a website I’m used to buy stuff, they have some pedometers and I’ve just chose one. I’m buying it in the next days and let´s see how it will improve my walk habits.

Yikes, I didn’t realize just how many steps I took while I was at work.
Last night the pedometer got bumped and reset itself and I didn’t notice til I had only 1700 steps, but the night before went perfect and I had racked up an impressive 24,500 steps in an 8-hour shift. That isn’t including how far I walk when I’m at home, either!
I can switch over to see how many miles/kms I’ve walked, so once I’m more familiar with the buttons I’ll start to track just how far I walk each night.

Sara is snoozing with her pets
I used to have one and just loved it, but it bit the dust. Now I’m looking for one that’ll last longer and preferably use rechargeable batteries.

I am very intrigued by how many steps I take a day. I’m guessing not enough as I work at a computer all day :(
