own a beachfront cottage

There is so little untouched coastline left. The whole idea for me would be solitude and forest close to the water. Something on the northerly coasts of N. America. Could I get what I want without polluting more coastline? Also, I doubt I’ll ever be able to afford this, but like my mountain cabin – it’s ok to dream, right.
