Alright… so I didn’t really meet any of my goals.
And I gained 2 lbs.
Ooops.
But I’ve gotten 1 lb off and am getting back in there starting this very moment… Ready, Go!
Oh…and I want to get down to a solid size 6. Yeah.
How I did it: I made a point to walk my dog more and don't excessive when eating. Have the occasional burger, but the second time, get a turkey burger or get it wrapped in lettuce. Find friends to do sports with - volleyball, football, frisbee, batting cages - things like this can be fun and knock out calories without much effort. Read how I did it…
LenaCa Enjoying life!
How I did it: I had green smoothies for breakfast every morning for a month+. I also ate a very high raw diet, consisting of 70-85% raw foods, including lots of fruits, vegetables, and some nuts, and seeds. Most foods I made were highly delicious, and fruit is definitely my favorite treat. It's nice to eat so "richly" and still lose weight. Read how I did it…

Yo. So I’ve been steadily packin on the lbs.
Want to lose 5. Total goal is 10.
I remember a year ago when I was losing that it felt like work. In fact, I was only losing when it felt like an effort. Not an overwhelming or burdensome effort, but I did have to give up things and I did have to work harder than I wanted.
If it doesn’t feel like work, you’re not losing.
That was the mantra that worked.
I have a terrible sweet tooth and love my junk. But I’m old enough now that I need to cut that out… not completely, but a large sum.
I’ve started exercising. Running. But I’ve gained weight since I’ve started… muscle?? Perhaps. But I’m still eating a lot…and it’s mostly trashy.
So…. I think this week’s goal will be….
Run 8 miles this week.
Drink lots of water.
Eat less than I want
Eat better foods.
Turn down bad foods 3 out of 4 times…(that’s a potentially dangerous goal…..we’ll see how it goes). ok… i’ll change it to 9 out of 10 times.
make a healthy choice 9 out of 10 times.
nice.

I have been in training for almost 2 months, but I haven’t seen dramatic weight loss yet. I trimmed down a little, but not really noticeable to others. I am surrounded by people who really watch their diet or who are starving themselves, eating only meal a day. Of course, they see results much faster. Luckily my trainer has been very supportive. Why do I want to compare myself with others?! I know working out is good for me. With my trainer’s encouragement, I have been going to different dance classes and am having fun. I will just need to keep faith and am sure with little patience I will shed the weight and have a body that looks like million bucks! YAH!

I have been to different gyms and found that each teacher’s style is different. For example, a few years ago I had one teacher who was tall and slim. She has long arms. Her movements were absolutely beautiful and elegant, like dances. I wanted to emulate her. If possible, I watch my movements in a mirror, making sure that I keep good postures.
Then I moved. I tried different teachers at the gym closer to my house and found out that they all teach very challenging poses, much more challenging than in other gyms, for example, lifting your body with your head touching the floor. I can’t keep up with them. Even with modified poses, I sweat so much that I have to stop every 5 or 10 minutes to grab my towel. The strange thing though, after each workout, I feel all the pressure on my muscles are gone, and I start to build muscle strength. So I will keep up. Hopefully I can have a beach bum body soon!

I have hired a trainer to help. It has been a month. I didn’t lose any weight, but my body fat dropped from 36% to 31.7% of the total body weight. My goal is 17-20%. I also hope to lose 2 and a half inches on my waist. Like many people who said here, I just need to believe in myself in order to lose weight and be fit.
Instead of losing 5 pounds I actually GAINED 5 pounds. Damn it. Cookies are a major weakness for me.
My boobs got bigger so I don’t really even care all that much.
I’ll work out and try to cut back on the sweets so I can go back to my usual weight I guess.
I’m trying to lose the freshman five(ish) that I gained during my first semester at college, but I’m also hoping that while working towards this goal, I’ll get in the habit of working out. I need to be more healthy all around.
Since I typically do cardio and lift weights, I should expect to lose fat and gain muscle, making it unlikely that I will shed 5 lbs over the next month or so. But that’s okay, because I will be so strong and manly!
