get my PhD diploma framed

i’m a little sad that there was no celebration of my having finished my phd. when my husband graduated, my parents, his parents, and i all got him presents. the difference is, i didn’t walk. we were giving final exams to students at the time, and we didn’t really have the money to go. but, i worked on my phd six years before it was completed. the happy news is that i did in fact finish. so, as a graduation present to me, from my hubby, we’re going to get my phd diploma framed.

i framed his phd diploma. i didn’t cut the glass or cut the mat, but i did everything else. it’s in a gorgeous frame, and it has a double-mat around it.
