I think that we are going to do one in St Petersburg in September. We will see.
How to compete in a triathalon
How I did it: Joined a training club through a local running store which really helped understand transitions, training, nutrition, etc.
Lessons & tips: Get help. Don't do it alone. Look online and find a training group or ask someone at a local sports store for tips.

But today I did walk, take a spinning class, and walk up a mile long hill. So I am keeping up with exercise.

So- I’m still going with the modified goal of a steady exercise program. Today I ran 2 miles, walked 2 miles and did some weight training. My ankle is mildly in pain.

I don’t think this is possible. My bad ankle is acting up again. It seems that I can only run 2 miles or walk 4 before trouble starts. So that is what I will do. This goal might morph into a simple exercise program.

So I think I am regressing. I seem to be only able to do a mile now. How pathetic is that? Of course, I am running uphill to start now; sort of reversed my original where I started downhill. I’ll keep it up. This is going to take a long time.

So I am still trying to run. It is actually going better. I am not increasing my distance any but have drastically reduced times. I think I only have one gear and it goes until it is finished. I don’t know how to reset the distance on it. I’ll keep trying.

I’m not sure if I can do this. I tried to run today and only made it 1.76 miles. Of course, it was uphill. But the other day the bike thing wasn’t working out. I am just weak. We’ll see if I can modify this just to keep fit.

So went on a very short ride yesterday and was rally wiped out by it. This will take a long time. But I need to stay with it. no more quitting.Even if I don’t make this goal I’ll still be in better shape.

Today I went on my 2nd bike ride. It was much easier, although my friends had a horrible time. I am still very much a beginner, but at least I did something. I know I am going to have to buy a bike. I was hesitating because after my 1st ride I didn’t think I could ever do it; I hated it so much. This ride I thought I may actually get to like it. Biking that is…but still a long way off from even thinking about triathlon.
