    about women in Egypt 3 months ago

    Aeeem… I kinda heard and saw in TV-shows how (German) women live in Egypt. Well, I think I couldn’t cover my hair all the time and be ‘friendly’ to the men; that’s not how you earn respect in my opinion… In octubre I’m gonna go there for vacation, but living there… hmm.. I’m gonna give this up. (If plans are changing after my trip there you can see me re-entering this group ;-)

    Near my last year of high school I decided to be an exchange student and picked Egypt. I have to admit, I hadn’t done my research – documentaries of ancient Egypt don’t count, I discovered. The city has changed a lot since then (1992!) but I’m sure it’s still gorgeous. Very worth doing, but I recommend staying there long enough to get through a few of the love-hate-love cycles and really settle in to the flow of things.
