I was at this point for a while, until I bought the house a year ago. Getting everything I needed and wanted for a first home and all the projects that come with it ruined that.

Argh, every time I get up to a good amount, something happens that requires a large payment. :’(
If I’m really serious, I should probably stop going out so much. That would be a start. Also, go grocery shopping, cook more, eat leftovers. I automatically save $100 every 2 weeks. 6 months of expenses is at least $10,000 for me. Hmm, maybe I should try to save larger amounts.

Most of my goals fall into one of two categories: Serious and far off in the future OR silly and easily to accomplish. This is serious, but I don’t feel like it’s impossible at this point in my life.
I want to do this within the next year or two. I want to build up six months worth of expenses in bills and food. I don’t know if it’s possible with college and my first year out of college, but I’m going to try. I want financial stability in my life very, VERY much. It is a freedom I have never have and since college, it is one I’ve craved.
So, over the next two years, starting this summer when I get back from Italy, I’m going to work towards saving six months worth of expenses to keep in the bank. This is a goal I feel is possible and I think it make me feel very independent. It would make me feel awesome to achieve it.
