It was a neat idea…
...seemed like a pretty cool application.
But, I am content with simply turning off my computer when I’m not using it.

Not worth it!
well i saved one tree..and i suppose in the end its better for the planet..but i found that when my screen went black i automatically wiggled the mouse, thus defeating the purpose. buut long term, i saved a tree! yay!
Not worth it!
i have saved .609 of a tree:P..i think i’ll check this off when ive saved an entire tree.
Worth doing!
half a tree so far, from my job computer. From home, erm… I like to let my computer turned on even if I’m not in front of it, in case someone wants to chat with me or something.
but I’m trying to turn it off, in order to have a normal life
I think my computer is already energy efficient, so I’m taking this off the list.
Not worth it!
... as I turn my PC off whenever I’m not using it (both work and home).
I found I could get better control setting the control-panel power settings however I like (rather than using the localcooling app). And I wasn’t too bothered about statistics.
I’m also incredibly anal about what I have running on my computers. The less the better in my opinion.

It seems that the program tries to contact localcooling.com once in a while, but that is just to transfer statistics back to the web page and I think it lets you disable that feature if you want.
If it saves electricity it’s definitely worth it.

I just installed the software. I’ll see how it goes. I just want to make sure this isn’t some program that ends up being spyware. I don’t know that global warming is a reality, but saving energy never hurts.
The nice thing about the software so far is that it tells me approximately how much power my computer uses. Other than that I don’t know what it can do for me that I can’t already set in the windows power settings.
ume is getting ready to move
put this on hold until they come out with something for OSX – I’ll keep checking back. I did send out a few invites though so at least I’ve done something for now…
