Most likely. I’ve tried every trick I’ve come across, but to no avail. I’ll probably give up on this and enter a new goal of backing up my data regularly.

DriveSavers wasn’t able to recover anything.. not one, single file…
My hard drive failed a while ago, and the local computer store wasn’t able to recover any data.. all of my pictures, music, programs, documents, school stuff, gone. I really, really hope to save enough money to send it to DriveSavers, which is very expensive, but worth it considering my years and years of irreplaceable files on that hard drive.
All my music, pictures, documents, etc are on a hard drive that fried. I’ve tried several recovery programs, but they don’t work because the hardware itself is damaged. I know there are companies that I could send it to who can recover the info., but they are way too expensive! I want to find a way to do this myself, or someone who can do it who doesn’t charge an arm and a leg. Or maybe find a way to actually fix the broken hard drive! I had an e-book of 100 different ways to revive a broken hard drive, but that e-book is on the damaged hard drive, so I can’t get to it! ;-P
