Faithfully observe the 2007 season of Lent

I would like to let everyone here know
that I had this as a Personal Goal…
And achieved it.

Even though I wasn’t near a computer to tell 43things…
I DID NOT FAIL. :-P

Although sometimes I did not hold fast the the fasts and extra things I had taken on for this Lent, I still made progress spiritually and even learned a great deal of things that I still need to continually improve upon, and hopefully I will be shown the ways to build up my weakness this Easter Season. Blessed be God!

A Blessed Easter to all!

The time of sacrifice is over and now in a way things get more difficult as we need to strive to hold onto and maintain the increased level of self control and self discipline gained during this past Lenten season.

Lent was a real blessing this season.. but ready to move onto Easter :)

The conclusion of Lent is not a time to check our score card to determine if we have held fast to our promise to not eat chocolate, or pull our kid sisters hair, but rather a time to reflect on those things that keep us from God, and being everything He created in us.

Lamb of God You Take Away The Sins Of The World

Now is the time to give away those things that are keeping us from being everything we were created to be. It’s a time to cast away the self doubt that has held us back in our careers, its time to cast away the “if only’s” and embrace the “if I just do this little bit more’s”, its a time to forgive those who hurt us so we can be free ourselves.

Casting away the things that are keeping us from being all God created will create in us a new life.

I hope lent is going swimmingly for everyone. It’s nearing an end! It will be Good Friday before we know it.

Anyhow, I have a prayer request for my husband and I. Mark and I are having our US Embassy Immigration interview in London this month (it is a critical decision point) so please keep us in your prayers regarding that everything goes smoothly with this process. We just pray for this to go well so we can be safe and together living the life of Reilly in the USA!

I just realized I was eating meat and freaked out.

It wasnt until I began typing this that I discovered it actually is Thursday. Grrrr.

Just hopping in to say that things are going wonderfully and my recent visit to the Monastery of the Poor Clares was definatly a huge help in making thing so much better. Praised be Jesus Christ!

If I know Jesus more than me, he can introduce me to the me He created me to be. That’s the me, I want to know.

JessPon wrote this last August; I think it’s worth sharing during this season.

how is everyone doing? my Lent is going pretty well I think.. I have stuck to my commitments :) my main outlet to getting out more has been an ice skating rink, I have met some nice people there! hope I can keep in touch with them when it closes.

I think I have only slipped with one swear word in the past week or so, so that’s going well..

and I am still doing different things different days :)
