I’ve been talking for months about how I wanted to throw myself a huge bash for my 30th, and now I’m down to the last 7 weeks, have the room rented and now realize that I have to invite everyone I’ve ever met in order to fill it. It’s a good thing I’m on vacation b/c I spend every waking minute thinking about all the options for food/decor/drinks/music/theme-or-no-theme, etcetc. I’m ashamed I ever made fun of anyone who got swept up in their wedding planning, b/c I’m obsessing over a freaking BIRTHDAY!

Christina is going for a fresh start
Best. Birthday. Ever.
It guarantees that you get to do something you want to do!
yakuza who has missed me?
This year… Cancun. Everyone is welcome.
My birthday has already passed this year, but I hope to throw a bash for myself next year when I’m home from college. I’m thinking a small soiree. Dinner out, beach, fire, marshmellows and smores. Simple but awesome.
I honestly couldnt believe i was turning 30 . . . and wasnt sure if i should celebrate it or not . . . at the last moment i decided that it was a once in a lifetime event & i threw this great little soiree with my closest family and friends. it was one of the best birthday parties i ever had!
so, as i entered my quarterlife crisis, i majorly regressed. i couldn’t remember ever having a really girlie, character themed party and i wanted one bad! so, i threw myself a powerpuff girl party, complete with any and every powerpuff girl party favor there was. everyone gave me powerpuff toys (that i actually just today finished selling on ebay) and we had the cake…it was awesome! totally cheesy in that really good way!
Good friends deserve a little thanks, and I personally think there’s no better day to celebrate a milestone of life than to appreciate the things that bring you through it. It’s like good karma or something—hasn’t failed me yet. =o]
