1. Wonderworks off International Drive. It’s a hands-on science museum that on the outside actually looks upside down. Lots of fun interactive things to do inside.
2. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Odditorium has a few hands-on and strange exhibits. I was not as impressed by this as I thought I’d be. Use the coupons to save some money!
3. Fun Spot is down beside Old Town, where they have free soda and a bunch of different fun rides for kids and adults.

I’m taking my niece and we’re exploring there. Might detour and do some other stuff round there, everything is open. Happiness and I will post pictures this weekend!

I went there with a date last Saturday night and enjoyed it. It has lots of old-time shops and they sell Pepsi in small bottles for 49 cents. They had a classic car show going on and I guess that’s pretty regular. They drove them through old town, plus they had a variety of rides to enjoy. Old Town was free, another good thing! The Coca-Cola is free next door at the games place. I hope to return there and do some of the rides when I’m not wearing a skirt.
If you like walking around, seeing some old-time style shops, some rides and just a nice atmosphere-check it out!

Not too sure about the guy, but would like to do something I haven’t done before and go somewhere I haven’t been before. It’s a bit of a drive, but its supposed to be lovely, relaxing and they have a cafe where we can have lunch if the mood strikes us. We’re going to meet up once I have some money set aside for it, as bills come first!

**Update! The date is set for this weekend Saturday at 2pm/3pm. Plan is to hang out there till it closes at 6pm. Hoping to have some fun and post some pics of the place. I’ll update next weekend!

We visited Morikami Museum And Japanese Gardens on Mother’s Day.
I recommend it highly especially if you are interested in Japanese culture. Every step brings something new and beautiful to see. Definitely get the hand-held tour “guide”. Learning about the philosophy of the gardens and the steps taken to create them adds a lot to the experience.

I’m going to start with locations in Miami. The first on the list is the Cloisters of the Monastery of St. Bernard de Clairvaux.
According to the book, this is a Spanish Monastery shipped to the U.S. by William Randolph Hearst. It was destined for his San Simeon castle in California, but the customs agents in Florida would not release the 10,751 crates because they were worried about hoof-and-mouth bacteria in the packing hay.

I found this book in my pile of books to give away! I think I remember buying it back when I first got divorced and thought now I’ll be able, finally, to visit some of the places I’ve wanted to see, and go to other interesting places.
Unfortunately, I haven’t overcome this reluctance to go places alone, and there hasn’t been anyone to go with. I dated people but none of them seemed to want to go anywhere.
So, now that’s all going to change if I can help it…. which I should be able to!
The book is broken up by section so SouthEast Florida will be first.

I’m kind of low on cash and need it for the wedding trip. I don’t think I’ll get to do this year, as I would be only one going and it sounds like something you’d want to be able to spend a bit on. Maybe next year? Maybe I can check out Key West, just not at the time of the fantasy fest. May adapt this goal to Go to Key West & Everglades asap!

From the paper I just read it mentions
Sunset Celebration, every night when the sun goes down, locals and tourists alike gather in Mallory Square to watch the breathtaking sunset. While there to check out the Frenchman and his performing cats.
Hemingway House which offers a glimpse into his life and times. Might even come across a descendent of his famous six-toed cat, Snowball.
Duval Street has famous bars like Sloppy Joe’s, Hog’s Breath and Margaritaville are where people go to party.
Fantasy Fest, is an annual flamboyant fiesta that fills the streets with colorful costumed characters, floats, parades and events that will make you look twice and then some. This year’s event “Key Weird on the Dis-Oriented Express” happens October 20-29. For a preview visit www.fantasyfest.net
on the web- www.fla-keys.com
Check out Key West cemetary for more than one unusual grave site. This is the place of open-mindedness and wandering chickens.
Simply sounds like tons of fun…I hope to check it out this year.
