A bunch of books have been packed away pending a move. This makes the remaining books look much more achievable!

Update on last update. Quicksilver is read and passed on. Galileo’s Daughter and some other ring books read and passed on. Many more books brought home from meetings, but none at last one (well, one library book, but it’s not BC, so doesn’t count for this).

New ring book to read – Years of Rice and Salt.

One of the Spanish BC books, Escandalo en la Hermanidad, is read and passed on.

Have a shelf full of other registered books.

    Quicksilver 2 years ago

I’m nearing the end of Quicksilver now. It’s a big book, but worth it.
I need something light after that though, so I’ve actually bought some chick lit. I read it sometimes, but it’s rare that I buy it. Next it will be a ring book, Galileo’s Daughter. I should read that first, but I just can’t face into more history of science related stuff after Quicksilver. I need a break. And besides, Rachel’s Holiday was the book I should have read for BCie’s September meeting.
Again, I just brought back one book from the meeting – Wintersmith. I pounced on that as soon as I saw it – I want to read all the children’s Discworld books. All the adult ones too, but that’s been a given for years. I’m new to the children’s ones – I’ve only read the first one.

Well, I’m back from a BCie meeting with only one book! That’s progress of a sort – I normally bring home much more than I intend.

I haven’t picked up Quicksilver again yet, but I have read a couple of ring books and some BC books – the Map of Love, The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic and The Blind Assassin. I released the last two in Japan. I also gave the Japanese Anno Dracula to a friend there without reading it. Or trying to, I should say.

    possibly improving 2 years ago

The shelf I keep my BC books on is getting less crowded. But it’s possible that that’s because of books lying around that haven’t made it to the shelf…

Of the books mentioned in my previous entry, I’ve read Starship Troopers.
I’m currently reading Quicksilver (well, I’ve stopped for the moment to read a non BC book – We Need to Talk About Kevin – because it’s our BCie book of the month).

Some new ones I can see from here – YesMan (that’s me when it come to books), Storm Season.

    Ahahahaha. Nope. No timeliness here.
Three new books on the pile from the March BCie meeting: Northern Lights (been wanting to read this for a while), Career Change and Working Wonder.
I can’t remember what the last BC book I read was.

I gave up on the Witch of Edmunton. It’s now on the “to be posted” pile.
Windhaven and the Diceman (no longer a ring) are still to be passed on. I think the others listed in my last entry are gone.

Some TBRs I can see close to me – Ender’s Shadow (have to read Ender’s Game first), Hot Six and Ten Big Ones (both re-reads), El Viejo Reloj, The Crosslegged Knight, Stormy Weather, Starship Troopers, The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic, the Shipping News.

MarleneTC is watching The Tour De France of course

I am reading like crazy, nice except for thef act they are Library books 2 years ago

My last bookcrossing book registered by another Bookcrosser that I read was…. Ursula’s Maiden army. 2 weeks ago.

    My latest reads were:

    The Glass Castle (library)
Cell by Stepehn King (library wish list book)
The Diary of Mattie Spenser. (I am still wondering how the hell I received that book. No BCID number but I do think a Bookcrosser mailed it to me)
102 Minutes by Jim Dwyer. (Ok that was the last book registered by a BCer)
Marrying Mozart (Library wish list book)
Lisey’s Story by Stepehn King (Library)
Het Gouden Ei By Tim Krabbe (Library)
Death Sentence by Jerry Bledsoe (My own BC book)

Oh well at least I am reading again.
    Right now I am reading : I have Life : Alison’s Journey

    yay! progress! 3 years ago

Finished Iceland’s Bell, the Diceman (not sent on yet, oops), X-Files: Ground Zero, Windhaven and Unnatural Exposure. Still need to journal most of them.
Started The Meme Machine, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and Full Tilt.
No further with the Witch of Edmunton.
I think a few more books have arrived since I last posted, but I’m not sure which ones. Windhaven might even be one of them.
I reckon there’s been enough change that I could do another TBR list. I’ll post here when it’s done.

Still not finished Iceland's Bell 3 years ago

but I am nearing the end, and I’ve started the Diceman (a ring book) and I’m about half way through that. I’ve also read a couple of chapters of X-Files:Ground Zero.

And I believe I’ve managed to go a week without getting (or finding!) any more books.

Er.. forgot about three books: Pattern Recognition, which I got in December, but it got buried under a pile of things; First time round the world (but third time to me!); and Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance. All journalled now.

Is it my imagination, or am I getting 10 books for every one I read?!?
