bunny-hop 200 road-kills on my bicycle

I am sure that I have bunny-hopped 200 road-kills on my bike, but I lost count. I have deemed this pursuit “uncivilized” and will no longer launch my bicycle skyward over dead creatures.

I’m sick of bunny-hopping road-kill.

Today I broke the world record for number of dead creatures bunny-hopped in 42.68 miles! Yes, 16 road-kill bunny-hops in 42.68 miles, a truly remarkable accomplishment. My comrades in the peleton were amazed by both the bounty and my skill!

Cats, rabbits, squirrels, armadillos, skunks, a turkey, more cats, and one extremely flat snake….. What a ride!

85 successful “Death-Hops” and 115 to go!

Big week for drivers to run over small animals! Weather turned excellent and “bam”, tons of road-kill.

Best road-kill this week = grey fox
Worst road-kill this week = not sure what it was, but it was big!

Incidental, yet related accomplishment = finally wheelie’d all the way down “Windy Hill” (just over 1/4 mile) on my road bike. I’m pretty good at wheelies on a road bike (try it, it’s not that easy), but “Windy Hill” is a bomber descent!

One week and just over 40 dead bunny hops! First snake hop of the season, but squirrels are still the most common dead carcass to be found.

Up and over, times 3! As the weather continues to improve, my road-kill encounters will surly improve as well.

3 hours of steady-state fixed-gear riding today. Still trying to perfect my fixie-hop!

Big “Thanks!” to Gilloulalal for the cheer! 9 days and I finally got a cheer for this one! Bunny-Hopping road-kill is truly an under-appreciated art form! Maybe I should have just focused on improving my roadbike wheelie technique!

I did an out and back ride today at lunch and I bunny-hopped the same dead creature (a rather flat cat) twice. I am counting this as two hops!

195 to Go! Hop On!

Did some very cold miles today and could not find a single road-kill. Maybe when the weather warms up conditions will improve?

1 cat and 1 “mystery kill” (raccoon maybe?) on the lunch ride. I should get double-bonus points for both of these bunny-hops because they were executed on a fixed-gear bike!

Disclaimer: I am not killing these animals, they are already dead when I happen upon them.
