    This is a process, that I will continue to work on, but it is no longer a goal because it has been accomplished for the time being. I am eating better, sleeping better, and getting a lot more done. I think part of this is due to me spending time alone daily to clear my head and focus a bit.

    I have figured it out. I need to eat breakfast and I need to do what my body needs, not what I am reading in some quacky books. I stopped drinking coffee. I did not have any of the withdrawal symptoms that heavy drinkers tend to have because I only drink one cup (er, small bowl) in the morning.

    So this week, I went back to my coffee and I eat a piece of fruit. Now I can get through work for a few hours without feeling drained. I am eating a decent lunch too. I figure that if I get my five+ servings of fruits and vegetables then I will be good and can mark this goal as complete.

    A lot of the energy issues have to do with what and how I eat. I have to be able to keep up with and have fun times with my daughter.

    It’s so funny how so many of my goals deal with health in some way.

    Getting Better 2 years ago

    I use to come home at night after picking up my daughter from daycare and jump right into trying to get stuff done. Now, I take a cue from her. We come home, watch a little pre-recorded Dora, Blues Clues or Wonder Pets, enjoy a snack and wind down. I find that I have a little more energy later in the evening.

    I am managing my time a lot better! It’s the keeping my energy thing up that I am having issues with. I have found that no eating as many heavy foods and eating more throughout the day helps a little bit. I am not there yet, but I will be.

    Get so tired... 2 years ago

    On a daily basis, my roles consist of mama, wife, grad student and educator. I get so tired most days. Usually, I am pooped by 11am. My problem is that I don’t eat enough to help sustain myself. Ugh!
