do more crafts

I started yet another project that I hope to finish by mid-July. It’s really not that complicated of a project, but I’m using a Dremel which I’ve never used before. It’s a purse made of old records and fabric. Both the cutting of the records, and the sewing of the lining will all be new to me so I’m not expecting to finish this project over night. I hope to be able to give it to a friend of mine in July for her birthday, so I’ve left plenty of time for correcting any errors.

I just recently made a paper beaded necklace out of my old magazines I had. It was pretty fun, and it looks pretty cool to me. :D At least I think it’s cool looking. It’s good for the environment, stylish, and very fun to make! I spent more time on this then I usually do on the computer, so it’s an accomplishment! :D

I just spent the whole evening doing some stuff for my accessories line that i plan to sell on Etsy.. by the way, does anyone know how Etsy works exactly?? and is it free?????

so i’ve finished two paintings, one cowl, and one brown hat in the last two weeks, i am thinking next a scene made of felt, patching up the soles of my valenkis (best boots ever), starting at least one of my new series of paintings, and sewing a cover for my comforter…

okay the pond never got done
got the fish tank but all of the fish kept dying so fish no more,
never did my room
never finished the puzzle..my cat ate some of it
i think the mirror painting is done but its blah

not sure if this is the place but its the only group i found so oh well.
lots of projects im working/thinking of working on. This is just going to be a place where i can organize my progress, share ideas and just reflect on the way things are going, what is frasturating me and maybe any of you would know how to help.
right now im working on
1.) i am building a pond in my backyard (half way done)
2. i got a fish tank ..wanna do something cool with that…decorate it cool..get changing lights…have a theme to it..do some black light attachment to it..we’ll see …
3. decorating my room..painting the walls and putting stuff up on the walls.. not sure what yet..i kind of want candles.. i dont even know what color to paint..i like brown red and goldish yellow
4. finish the jigsaw puzzle..no complication there except for putting up the pieces that my cat half ate..lol
5. make a scrap book about myself , ideas and life..so people can read it after i die.
6. finish coloring that mirror painting with markers
i think thats enough for now..ill be working forever on them

I used to do a lot of scrapping, crocheting, and creating things in my spare time. I like to go junking, and refinish pieces that I find, too.
Here lately I’ve still been junkin’ a little, but I’m just finding usable things – no creativity used.
My goal here is to make a recipe box, make all my christmas cards, find a chair to refinish, and start doing my spare bedroom. Maybe I’ll even get into making a new scarf for the cold weather.

Made the kids costumes, went back to scrapping and card making-totally worth it!! I feel more whole while I create!

Yesterday I made spooky cards with the kids!! BOO!

I am setting a goal to craft more. In 2005 I lost a lifetime’s worth of accumalated supplies due to Katrina and just haven’t gotten back into the groove. Prior to the storm I was a dealer of rubber stamps and scrapbbok supplies and just haven’t had the money to replace 1% of my supplies. I worked in collage of vintage images, altered art, scrapbooking. I feel so defeated, I still do many crafts with my kids (Today we made a graveyard w/ spooky trees and ghosts centerpiece) but I always feel like I am lacking the stamp, button, image,etc I need. In so many areas of my life I have let go of the loss this one is hard.
