Have home office, will work!  — 2 months ago

I drive my kids 45 minutes each way to school. I can work between the hours of 9 and 2, and also at my home office when I am not driving the kids. I just got my degree and will be working online towards my masters, so I am flexible.

Doing this...  — 4 months ago

I work from home full-time, have done so for about 8mths now… Hardest part is to get to work in the morning! Instead I sometimes end up having to work all night to make up for sleeping in – lol! It is great having the freedom but you have to make sure you get out of the house as much as possible also!

Mission accomplisehed  — 6 months ago

I think I have accomplished this one! I put myself out there and found a job I can do in the comfort of my own home and make pretty decent money! I just started this week! Yeah – so did not want to stick my baby in a daycare for hours and hours! I also want to get another cottage industry going working doing something crafty- designing t shirts or something on the side.

Not working yet...  — 11 months ago

But my etsy business could turn into working, if I diversify it enough, (once it gets up and going.) By diversify, I mean a couple things, first, go to sites beyond etsy, next, expand to making not just earrings, but diferent kinds of things.

Worth doing!

There is a great opportunity for people interested in making over $60,000 a year working from home. I have been doing it for 3 years and I make much more watching children in my home than I ever did working away from home. www.doityourselfrealworkathome.org is where I got my dreams to happen. I’m telling you this will take you through everything and get you there quickly. Try it if you have ever thought of childcare work, working in your home, or making a great income even after business expenses. Most people don’t make $90 grand a year after expenses like I do. You can too! All work at home opportunities aren’t free, but good ones are worth the cost if reasonable. I can’t complain about spending $59.99 to get started when I’m making my kind of salary. Employment agencies charge all the time for job opportunities and what do you make? Maybe just maybe $10.00 an hour tops. I’m glad I did what I did. Believe me! I was tired of being broke.

Perfect days for word-of-mouth? or just a fluke?  — 1 year ago

Too bad everyday can’t be like Memorial Day. I couldn’t have asked for a better day for perfect weather! It was sunny all day in the low 80’s with a awesome summer breeze.

My son Benjamin and I were outside practically all day if not at the park we were either socializing in our own backyard or out walking the neighborhoods passing out Avon brochures:) I must have talked to almost 20 different people in one day who were either out gardening, barbequing or at the park with their children. I never realized how dependent on the weather you can be when you’re self-employed (or working on it). But whether rain or shine we have to put ourselves out there.

On that note I also have to mention that just last Friday when it was raining I was dropping off an order and passing out brochures in that neighborhood. No sooner do I park my car in a seemingly logical place on the side of the street right before I get a $50 parking ticket! How ironic – it felt like my purpose for recruiting new Avon customers and representatives was just defeated.

But more importantly I also find it a lesson to learn that when you’re running your own business you can’t afford to think that way or let anything stop you from being successful, especially if you have to survive on our own with a child and if that’s what you want to do badly enough. So heads up to all of you out there who are trying to make it! Good work doesn’t go unnoticed.

By the way if there is anyone interested in buying or selling Avon online, go to my website at http://www.youravon.com/dklobuchar
